1969 Dodge Charger
General Information
The Charger didn't begin with the muscle car image, however, key roles in Bullitt and The Dukes of Hazzard propelled it to become one of the top Chrysler-made muscle cars ever.
The first generation's efforts to look somewhat posh were abandoned in favour of muscular double-diamond coke bottle profile, with curves around the front fenders and rear quarter panels. The rear end featured a "kick up" spoiler; the fastback roof was gone, in favour of a "flying buttress". These Chargers never needed much help with intimidation, thanks to the wraparound chrome front bumper. It draws attention to the recessed front end that looks like it will inhale anything that gets in its way.
